Joaquin de Feria serves as Vice President of Fabrication at Capitol Steel Structures, bringing over 35 years of experience in structural steel fabrication and operations. He leads all aspects of fabrication, overseeing cutting, fitting, welding, machining, coating, and shipping while ensuring production schedules align with complex project demands and deadlines.
Throughout his career, Joaquin has maintained a strong focus on quality, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring all fabrication meets AISC and AWS standards as well as project-specific requirements. He directs QC/QA programs to reduce rework, rejects, and nonconformance issues while driving continuous improvement in shop performance.
With deep expertise in cost control and workforce leadership, Joaquin manages fabrication budgets, labor productivity, and key performance metrics, while leading shop managers, superintendents, and foremen. He also oversees major capital investments in advanced fabrication technologies and works closely with project management and erection teams to ensure seamless coordination between shop production and field execution.
