The outdoor structural steel installations at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer support a major campus expansion and community-focused infrastructure project. The work includes heavy structural steel framing for covered walkways, a new P.E. shelter, outdoor staging and shade structures, park amenities, and solar infrastructure.
A key component of the campus expansion is the steel framework supporting extensive covered walkways, creating protected connections between the existing school facilities and the new 14,000-square-foot dance, music and arts wing. The installation provides both structural support and functional circulation for students and staff.
The project also incorporates outdoor steel elements associated with the Zelda Glazer Soundscape, a planned multipurpose public park utilizing approximately 2.71 acres of the vacant campus property. Structural steel installations contribute to outdoor staging, shade canopies and other community amenities designed to support performances, recreation and public gatherings.
In addition, steel framing and commercial-grade support systems are incorporated into the campus’s solar infrastructure, providing secure mounting for roof-mounted solar panels engineered to withstand South Florida’s demanding weather and wind conditions.
